5 Habits that amplify stress

Stress! What a stressful word right? And yet, it's pretty standard and even necessary to boost our productivity if we thoroughly analyse of it. Stress is like a sibling of chronic disease and it may cause harm.We might be unconsciously indulging in certain habits which we don't realise that amplify our stress levels. So what might these be? I am here to tell you just that. Here're some common stress amplifying habits that you might want to be wary of:


1. Sleep deprivation


For many of us, staying up till late night is very common but it's cause a problem if this comes at the cost of the number of hours of sleep you get. Several studies have shown skipping of sleep deplete your creativity, productivity, ability to focus and problem-solving skills. Therefore maybe say "no" to that next Netflix episode coming up in 30 secs and hit the bed an hour earlier today.



2. Messy Room


Is your workstation scattered with random items? Clutter creates stress that has two major physical and neurological effects on us-increase in the levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, and restricting our brain's capacity to concentrate and perform creative tasks. Hence, tidying up your workstation might be a great idea right now. 



3. Couch Potato


No matter how busy you are, try to include at least 30 minutes of some physical activity into your schedule. Try to do your favourite zumba dance or workout, go for cycling or walking and play a few rounds of your favourite sports.Exercise has some direct stress-busting benefits.




4. No Breaks


It's a must to take a pause to restart, refresh and refuel.Taking a short breaks in between your work is the key to productivity. It is very helpful to remain constant and connected your bond and enthusiasm towards your work.Read something funny, watch some funny videos or do whatever which feels you happy.
